April 7, 1751, Branford, son of Josiah and Lydia (Harrington) Bartholomew. (For Bartholomew ancestry, see IV.84). His father mar. (2) the widow Phoebe Munson, mother of Margaret Munson, wife of Daniel (4) Maltby, (Dan.3, Dan.2, Wm.1).

Martha (Maltby) Bartholomew was administratix of her husband's Litchfield Co. estate, July 8, 1777 and of his Berkshire County, Mass. estate, April 11, 1787. He died in Goshen, Conn., Feb.12, 1777, of smallpox. (Ref. Bartholomew Genealogy) She m. (2) about 1778, John Metcalf. He d. 1814.
